The college replenishes college food and hygiene pantries with a Valentine’s Day donation drive

The Staff Council and the Student Health and Wellness Center for Success (SHaW) hosted a Valentine’s Day themed food and hygiene drive to collect donations from Feb. 6-17 to support college food and hygiene pantries. Donations were made at various locations, including the Takoma Park/Silver Spring campus, at the following sites:

  1. Raptor Central and the HC building on the Takoma Park Campus
  2. The Raptor Central and CC lobby on the Rockville campus
  3. Raptor Central and BE 116 on the Germantown campus
  4. Room 400 in the Business Training Center in Gaithersburg

The pantry on the TPSS campus can be found on the second floor of the P4 building.

Donations that were accepted included the following food and hygiene items:

  • Canned fruit and vegetables
  • Cans of tuna or chicken
  • Boxed meals
  • Cereal
  • Rice
  • Shampoo
  • Toothbrushes
  • Toothpaste
  • Feminine hygiene products
