Shirley Washington, Staff Writer and Photographer
Shirley Nan Washington, Ed.D., a lifelong learner and Workforce Development and Continuing Education student, is a six-time graduate of Montgomery College (with honors, 4.0). She is a member of four honor societies and recipient of two academic awards from Montgomery College. She has had photographic and art pieces displayed in Student Art Exhibitions and images published in the Sligo Journal of Arts and Letters, with two of her photographic images scheduled for publication in the Journal’s spring edition 2024. In addition, her landscape photographic image placed second in the Excalibur’s Spring 2023 Photo Contest. She joined the Excalibur in Fall 2023 to share her love for photojournalism with the TP/SS campus community. She has self-published three books of her photography.
