Nikitta Joan began her journey with The Excalibur in fall of 2022 as a staff writer, returning in spring of 2024 as a staff photographer. While she’s mainly stationed at the Takoma Park/Silver Spring campus, she’s also actively involved at the Rockville campus. Currently working towards her AA degree in computer science, Nikitta dreams of flying high in aviation and becoming a pilot, but her interests aren’t limited to journalism and academics; she was the secretary of the 2022-23 TPSS Student Government Association (SGA) and is serving as the president of Kappa Omega Chapter Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society for the 2023-2024 academic year. Nikitta als0 recently took on the role of president for the Women in Engineering Science and Technology WEST Club in Rockville this spring.
