Ash Ibasan, Editor-in-Chief
Ash Ibasan is the editor-in-chief of The Excalibur, having first joined the newspaper as a staff writer in March 2024. Having degrees in civil engineering from a prominent research university in New York and an associate's in architecture, she is now pursuing a double degree in computer science and data science. Outside academics, she volunteers to tutor ESL students in conversation and writing and teaches group ESL classes seasonally at the Washington English Center. She enjoys learning new languages to improve her communication skills and further her understanding of global cultures. In her downtime, she enjoys unwinding with video games, exploring local cultures while traveling abroad, and delving into her passion for hockey.
