Attention All Gamers!
Controllers were never left alone and eyes were glued to the screen as dozens of gamers indulged in some friendly competition last Tuesday, at the Gamers Event in the Student Services Center.
“We wanted to start Thanksgiving in a good way,” said Kidus Sintayehu, student at MC and one of the creators of the event. He wanted to use this to relieve stress for students getting ready to go on break.
FIFA World Cup 18 and Mortal Kombat 9 were two, among multiple, games offered at the event. Besides the games, snack, drinks and raffle tickets were offered to students.
Enthusiastic from the festivities, students Tari Oguara and Terrell Dawson said they really enjoyed the event. The two had played games as well as watched others play. They both said they want to see more events like this. Dawson only had one complaint, “there was no 2K.”
This was their first gamers event according to Celestin Ntomb, student at MC and creator of the event.
Sintayehu hopes to have more of these events coming soon.
