MC Excalibur Spring 2023 Photo Contest Winners
This year the MC Excalibur newspaper held a photo contest. Students were invited to submit 3 photos to the excalibur email, [email protected].
The judges of the contest included former MC Excalibur photography editor, Jada Hoffman, 2022 Maryland Photographer of the Year, Professor Stephanie Sabourin, and Professor Mieke Gentis of the Department of Visual and Performing Arts.
The winners of the contest are as follows,
First place, Reflection Lake Washington by Dominion Ogedegbe
Second place, Quintessential Look of Autumn by Shirley Washington
Third place, Shell by Pamela Mills
The winners of first and second place will each receive a prize gift. The pictures will also be featured on MC Excalibur instagram and facebook pages.
Shirley Nan Washington, Ed.D., a lifelong learner and Workforce Development and Continuing Education student, is a six-time graduate of Montgomery College (with honors, 4.0). She is a member of four honor societies and recipient of two academic awards from Montgomery College. She has had photographic and art pieces displayed in Student Art Exhibitions and images published in the Sligo Journal of Arts and Letters, with two of her photographic images published in the Journal’s spring edition 2024....
