All current MC students interested in writing and poetry are invited to submit work to the first-ever MC Excalibur Poetry Contest! 

This year’s 1st, 2nd, and 3rd winners will be published in the MC Excalibur online newspaper!

The judges for the competition will be published poets and MC professors Jona Colson and Ian “Sydney” March, and Sasa Aakil, the Montgomery County Youth Poet Laureate and staff writer for the MC Excalibur newspaper.

Guidelines  

• Submit original work only 
• Each student can submit up to 2 poems. 
• All poetry must be in English 
• Poetry must be no more than 50 lines. 
• Poems containing hate speech or false information will not be accepted. 

Submit poetry entries to [email protected]. Include “2022 MC Excalibur Poetry Contest” in the subject line and attach submissions as .pdf or .docx files.
